MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT:

“Imagine EU”,

project funded by the “Europe for citizens” programme

Mistakes, diverse problems, and solutions that haven’t been satisfying. The advent of euroscepticism is giving the way to new perspectives, old doubts and revolutionary discussions. And you: are you eurosceptic? Or europeist? What do you think about this international community that, since ‘93, has been cradling and guiding us in a social, political, environmental, economical common model with aims of peace, democracy and sustainable development?

Would you like to take part in an international project with participants from 7 countries?

This project focuses on decreasing  the wave of upcoming euroscepticism and europhobia in the partner countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Poland, Italy, Sweden, Germany) and on contributing to citizens’ understanding of the Union, its history and its diversity, as well as  on fostering European citizenship and improving conditions for civic and democratic participation at the Union level. By developing citizens’ understanding of the Union policy-making process and promoting opportunities for societal and intercultural engagement and volunteering at Union level, the project seeks to encourage democratic and civic participation. Furthermore, it aspires to stimulate and initiate actions and initiatives based on the recommendations and opinions of the EU citizens to address euroscepticism and to help citizens identify answers and clearly define strategic steps with the purpose to avoid possible mistakes in building the common future of the European Union.

The project consists of:

– 3 international seminars (Croatia, Germany and Bulgaria),

– 5 focus groups and 15 interviews to different target groups in Bologna

– 1 final event in Bologna to share the interviews and focus groups.
