Participants’ age and profile:

• you are concerned of social-ecological issues in your community/country/world
• you are active in the social/environmental/cultural field
• you (wish to) work with young people/the community
• you think a sustainable activism and social transformation also requires personal peace and wellbeing
• you are eager to investigate your inner world in relation to your outer world
• you care/want to start caring on your personal development
• you would like to experience and learn approaches that refer to and integrate mind, emotions, body and nature
• you would enjoy spending time in the forest, investigating self, group dynamics and relations to nature
• you would enjoy going on a half-day hiking tour into the mountains
• you have sufficient knowledge of the English language to actively participate in group discussions
• you are between 21 and 35 years old


Mindfulness, self-awareness and emotional intelligence are key competences in understanding and initiating social transformation processes in a sustainable way. Therefore the training course “Reconnect and Transform” supports youth workers and youth educators to approach social and ecological problems with an empowered personal perspective. Based on different approaches, including systems theory and nature-based learning, you will explore the interdependencies between the individual and social level of transformation, reconnect with your own experience regarding the complex challenges of our time and identify obstacles and resources to contribute in overcoming these challenges. Through group work and self-investigation, we will also investigate our potential of supporting and empowering other youngsters and their communities to move forward towards a life-sustaining society and culture.


  • Seeing and feeling one’s self as a whole being that consists of body, mind and emotions and depends on its living surroundings;
  • Understanding and having experienced the interconnectedness of living systems;
  • Seeing one’s own place and role in the community/country/world and the mutual influence between one’s self and the environment/society;
  • Developing guidelines and gaining methodological knowledge about sustainable and systemic activism and community/youth work.

Financial conditions:
– Food, accommodation and activities are 100% covered by the project;
– Travel costs are 100% covered by the project up to a maximum of €360;
– “Quota associativa YouNet”: €50. These membership fees should be paid only by confirmed participants and give them the status of YouNet’s member and access to all our benefits.

As a result of the participation in this project, will be issued a European certification (“Youthpass”) certifying the skills gained and valid for the European CV.
