Dansk ICYE is a non-profit organisation working with international exchange, intercultural learning and youth mobility programmes. The organisation coordinates both European Solidarity Corps (ESC) and ICYE exchanges, hosting international volunteers in Denmark and sending Danish participants abroad.
Volunteers joining the national office become part of a small international team and gain insight into international youth exchange, project coordination and NGO administration. The working environment is friendly, international and youth-focused, with English as the main working language.
PROJECT: ESC Volunteering – Dansk ICYE Office
AVAILABLE PROJECT
International youth mobility, communication and social media, NGO administration, intercultural learning and volunteer support. 1 volunteer position available.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The ESC volunteer will join the daily work of the national office in Aarhus and support the team in coordinating international exchange programmes.
The role focuses mainly on communication and social media tasks, while also contributing to administrative work and support for international volunteers hosted in Denmark.
This project offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in international cooperation, youth mobility programmes and NGO management.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administrative support and general office tasks
Preparing documents, forms and internal materials
Updating internal systems and organisational files - Communication tasks
Creating content for social media (photos, videos, posts)
Supporting newsletters, website updates and communication with partners - Support for exchange participants
Helping hosted volunteers navigate life in Denmark
Supporting them with practical questions and community activities - Participation in camps and events
Helping organise workshops, meetings and training camps
Contributing ideas for youth activities and communication strategies
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
- 23+ years old (required)
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Extroverted, open-minded and proactive
- Responsible, organised and reliable
- Interested in international cooperation, youth mobility and NGO work
- Interested or experienced in social media and communication
- Comfortable taking initiative and working in a team
CONDITIONS OFFERED
