The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a European Union programme that offers young people aged 18 to 30 the opportunity to volunteer abroad for projects that benefit local communities.
Participants can take part in short-term projects (less than 60 days) and long-term projects (more than 60 days), with a maximum total duration of 12 months.
ESC projects cover round-trip travel costs from the volunteer’s home country (budget based on distance), as well as accommodation, activity-related costs, and mentoring; health insurance (Henner) is provided. Volunteers also receive a monthly financial support, which includes pocket money and a food allowance, varying according to the host country.
