Digital CommanDEOR

“Digital CommanDEOR” aims to foster the professionalization of youth work at a global level by supporting youth organizations in improving their dissemination and exploitation of project results practices (DEOR – Dissemination and Exploitation of Results). More effective dissemination can be achieved by building a strong online identity that makes organizations more accessible to their target groups, promotes projects more effectively, and encourages cooperation and exchanges among partner countries involved in ongoing projects.

Within this framework, the project develops structured actions aimed at the professionalization of youth workers, as well as practical tools provided to organizations to increase the quality of their DEOR methods.

To achieve this objective, the project foresees three different mobility activities for youth workers, local activities, the development of Open Educational Resources, and a manual that will enable partner organizations to build skills in the field of external communication strategies and to continuously exchange updated good practices.

Digital technology has the potential to create valuable opportunities for youth workers: it allows the promotion of events, training, and volunteering opportunities; it is a useful tool to attract new members and collect their feedback; it helps engage young people who would otherwise not have access to youth services; it increases the visibility of youth work through videos and photos; and it provides inspiration by connecting with other organizations and realities.

Through discussions with other partners, it became clear that these mostly free tools are not sufficiently used or are often applied in a chaotic way, without a clear strategy. The project therefore aims to explore the potential of social media for the dissemination of Erasmus+ projects, highlighting achievable objectives through the use of Social Media Marketing (SMM) applied in the socio-educational field.

The specific objectives of the project are to:

  • Promote cooperation and develop the capacity of participating youth organizations in the use of DEOR methods, and to transfer and exchange knowledge in the field of Erasmus+ project dissemination, with a particular focus on the use of social media channels;

  • Develop an Open Educational Resource and a manual on effective online dissemination strategies for youth organizations, including examples, tips, instructions, and social media marketing tools, made available with open access;

  • Support the learning process and professionalization of participating youth workers in the field of target-group-oriented communication and project promotion;

  • Create a high-quality and user-friendly online identity for the participating organizations;

  • Support the accessibility of information for youth organizations’ target groups, the “digital natives,” by increasing the number and quality of information sources and promoting Erasmus+ opportunities at a global level;

  • Increase the global visibility of current, past, and future Erasmus+ projects.
