Türkiye, Italy, and Greece are implementing the Erasmus+ “Safe Food Saves Future” 2025-1-TR01-KA210-YOU-000354927 project, co-funded by the Turkish National Agency and the European Union, to take action on food safety and sustainability. So what does this project include? Here are the 3 key perspectives our project focuses on:
The project officially launched with an online kick-off meeting on the 4th of December 2025, bringing together all partners to align on its vision, objectives, and key activities. The meeting set a shared framework for collaboration, covering the project timeline, core activities, and communication approach. Partners also discussed visibility, digital dissemination, and long-term sustainability. The online format supported green travel practices, reducing the environmental footprint while ensuring inclusive participation across countries.
To celebrate 10 December – Terra Madre (Mother Earth) Day, we invite everyone—local producers, young people, consumers, community members—to take part in the Open Garden Movement and help us highlight the value of good, fair and healthy food.
We invite you to share a short video (70–90 seconds) as a reel for the Safe Food Saves Future Instagram page, using:
#opengardenmovement
#safefoodsavesfuture
#terramadre
In your video, please reflect on three essential questions:
What should healthy / fair / good food be like?
What should we do to ensure healthy / fair / good food?
What do you suggest for a healthy future?
Video guidelines:
You may film in your garden, kitchen, farm, balcony, local market — anywhere connected to your relationship with food.
Show natural products or personal gestures related to cooking, growing or eating.
If representing a business, please avoid showing logos or brand placements to keep the message community-oriented.
You may also post the video on your own Instagram account, tagging #safefoodsavesfuture, and reminding your audience, your friends and family about Terra Madre Day – 10 December.
