The project on virtual and blended mobility “MoBlend – Educational Resource to Enhance Virtual & Blended Work-Based Learning”, coordinated by IFOM and funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, has recently come to an end.
The project was implemented by an international partnership composed of five European organisations:
IFOM Soc. Coop. Sociale (Italy), Danmar Computers Sp. z o.o. (Poland), Tehnicka Skola Sisak (Croatia), Europroodos Ekpedeutikos Omilos (Greece), and Kolez International (Bulgaria).
The main objective of MoBlend was to address the need to improve the quality of virtual and blended work-based learning (WBL) initiatives that emerged as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, while ensuring access, participation, and inclusiveness—particularly for students with fewer opportunities and special needs.
The project achieved two key results:
“MoBlend” is an Open Educational Resource (OER) designed to provide the essential digital tools and competences needed to successfully carry out a virtual or blended VET internship.
The MoBlend OER is based on a video-pedagogy methodology and includes a series of video lessons for each module.
In addition to addressing the general need for skills and tools to implement virtual WBL, MoBlend was also developed to meet the specific needs of its target groups, namely students and company tutors.
The Assessment Tool+ is an easy-to-use and highly accessible web-based tool that provides, in a virtual format, the tools typically used by schools to monitor, assess, validate, and recognise the competences acquired by students during internships.
The project results were tested by more than 20 students and company tutors, who used them in their virtual mobility experiences. Thanks to their feedback, the outputs were further refined and are now ready to be used in future high-quality virtual and blended internship experiences.
