ACCESS + EU

The full participation of young people with disabilities in educational and training opportunities is essential to creating a more equitable and inclusive European society. However, youth workers often lack the tools and skills needed to effectively include these young people in mobility and cooperation projects.

Access+EU is a project developed within the Erasmus+ programme to respond to this need, with the aim of training and raising awareness among youth workers on the inclusion of people with disabilities. Through innovative training pathways and practical activities, the project seeks to create a European network of professionals ready to design truly inclusive initiatives.

Key project activities:

  • Focus groups and study visits: local meetings and visits to specialized centers to promote exchange between youth workers and professionals in the field of disabilities.

  • Training of trainers course: a dedicated programme for youth workers to acquire specific inclusion-related competences, with a focus on non-formal education techniques and digital tools.

  • Manual and digital platform: development of open-source resources to support the dissemination of good practices and encourage continuous learning among participants.

Main objectives:

  • Strengthen the competences of youth workers working with young people with disabilities.

  • Foster inclusion within Erasmus+ projects and educational planning at the European level.

  • Promote dialogue between youth workers and disability specialists to develop innovative and replicable methods.

Through Access+EU, partners from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Poland, and Spain will work together to build a more inclusive Europe, where every young person can participate and actively contribute to society.
