Chiara's experience in Portugal

These have been nine months full of experiences, emotions, and shared moments. I don’t know if I am able to fully describe what happened during my time in Lisbon; for now, the only thing I am certain of is the emotional impact that the city, the people, and the travels have had on me.

I left Italy with a good amount of fear and expectations, which turned out to be far below reality. I had set myself some goals, such as improving my English, traveling as much as possible, and meeting new friends, but what actually happened went far beyond that.

Not only did everything I hoped for come true, but I also realized how people can become sources of inspiration and points of reference even if you have known them for a short time, how nature can be both a stimulus and a friend, and how easy it can be to trust others.

A true sense of family was created, for which I will always be grateful and to which I will remain deeply attached. I hope this is only the first of many experiences.
