Cristina's Experience in Spain
I am Cristina and through the European Solidarity Corps I have had the possibility to volunteer in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. I started it in june 2025 and finished it in May 2026. It has been the most incredible experience of my life.
My project was focused on promoting European mobility programmes and implementing local initiatives. As a volunteer, I had socio-cultural, administrative and communication-related tasks. My main activities included inspiring the young people, presenting the European programmes in schools, contacting the schools in Spain and Italy to propose collaborations, creating contents for social media and contributing to the development of various projects.
Thanks to this opportunity, I discovered a new lifestyle and an amazing culture. Moreover, I learned a lot about the many opportunities offered by the European Union, developed stronger social skills and improved both my Spanish and English. Additionally, I met many fantastic people who will always hold a special place in my heart.
Through this journey, I learned that sometimes it is worth starting over and giving ourselves the chance to face our fears and grow. By doing so, we can discover parts of purselves that might otherwise have remained hidden.
