Dino's experience in Croatia

What can I say about these months in Croatia with the European Solidarity Corps? Definitely that they have been months of immense personal growth, as they allowed me to come into contact with a new cultural reality. Moreover, my work with the Amazonas association gave me the chance to immerse myself as much as possible in local society, allowing me to develop activities in areas I am deeply interested in.

In fact, the Amazonas team encouraged me to organize informative events about the European Union and the spirit of friendship among all European peoples. This made me particularly happy and allowed me to make my own contribution, however small, to Croatian society! Not to mention all the other activities I was involved in, which helped me learn even more about Croatian culture and gave some light to the difficult period of the last two years.

And what about my Italian lessons? They were wonderful and fun! I had the opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives about Italy and Croatia. Finally, I want to say that my work with Amazonas was amazing, and the friendships I formed with the people in the association will remain the most beautiful part of my entire experience here in Croatia!

And if someone were to ask me whether it’s worth joining the European Solidarity Corps, my answer would be a huge YES!
