Giorgia's experience in Spain

29.05.2025

After two months in Jerez de la Frontera, I have returned home because my volunteering experience has come to an end. I am very sad to say goodbye to all the friends and people I met during this time, but I feel truly lucky to have lived this experience. I learned so much in such a short time, met incredible people, and discovered a lot about myself during these two months.

During this period, I had the opportunity to help the AJ Inter association promote Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) opportunities. I managed the English conversation club, learned how to create posters and manage social media accounts, and even helped organize projects with people from all over Europe!

I explored Spain, learned the language and traditions, and the highlight was participating in the Seville Fair, where I experienced it like a true local—it was unique.

I also learned to manage on my own and had new experiences, like going to the MotoGP Grand Prix—an unforgettable experience that I never thought I could do alone in a foreign country.

I highly recommend everyone to take part in an ESC volunteering experience—it’s something you will never regret.

See you next time, Jerez!
