Irene's experience in Cyprus

Energy! If I had to describe my entire experience in Cyprus, I would sum it up in this word!

The inner strength that grows inside you and the power of the connections you create with people are incredible—age and background no longer matter. Everyone has a wonderful story to tell, and it’s always worth listening to.

In Cyprus, I truly found everything I needed: amazing people, among whom I met loyal and sincere friends; a rich and deeply rooted culture with ancient origins, from the food to the festivals and various customs—it was truly an honor to take part; hidden and magical places—not just the famous tourist spots, but deserted coves where nature reigns supreme, mountain trails that seem straight out of a fairy tale, and secret, slightly mysterious corners of the cities.

Honestly, though, the most important thing I found during this experience was a bit of myself.

I discovered things about myself that were completely unknown: a determination, a positivity, and a motivation that I had never felt before. I also learned to accept myself for who I am, but most importantly, I discovered the kind of person I want to be. Because yes, even though bad things happen, I’ve learned that we choose who we want to be every day, through our daily actions—which, no matter how small they seem, are the ones that truly make a difference.

I learned to observe and listen with more eyes and ears, from different angles. I stepped out of my comfort zone and discovered that behind that door there is a whole world waiting to be explored. And now that this door has finally opened, my legs have started walking their own path—and they have no intention of stopping.

Cyprus is pure energy, and this experience is pure energy!
