Rebecca's experience in Cyprus

Life has an incredible way of surprising you, offering exactly the right opportunity at the moment you need it most. Spending a year working with Hope For Children CRC Policy Center in Cyprus through the European Solidarity Corps was far more than just an experience; it was a transformative journey that helped me develop self-awareness, confidence, and meaningful professional skills. This year in Cyprus, both essential and deeply inspiring, gave me the chance to work alongside wonderful people and, above all, to gain a clearer understanding of my own life path. Within the Research and Development Division (R&D), I supported the implementation of European projects, contributed to the development of new project proposals, assisted with sorting material donations, and participated in fundraising events. Furthermore, through research activities, I contributed to the protection of human rights for children and the most vulnerable people. All of this reaffirmed the values I believe in and the cause I am most passionate about pursuing. Thank you, HFC, for giving me the space to grow, mature, and become the person I am today.
