Silvia's experience in France

December has also been a very interesting month here in Paris!
The working year came to an end with the Fête de l’Hiver (Winter Festival) on 17 December, a day dedicated to creative workshops for both adults and children. Activities included making Christmas cards and small decorations, a theatre performance for children, and the screening of a Christmas movie at the MJC.

In the evening, we then set up a small stand in front of the association to sell crêpes and vin chaud, despite the freezing temperatures (with a perceived temperature of around –7°C, according to the weather forecast).

At the end of November, I also took part in the Salon Européen de l’Éducation in Paris together with representatives of the Agence Nationale and other ESC and Service Civique volunteers. During the event, we talked about and answered questions regarding the volunteering programmes available to young people in France and abroad.
